BAY AREA INDIE FOLK

Β

Some historians believe that humans in the western world had different sleep patterns before the lightbulb. They'd fall asleep at sundown, wake for a period of an hour or couple hours, then fall back asleep again until dawn.

The time between the two phases of sleep is poetically called "middlesleep". People used that period to write, pray and reflect, visit friends, and engage in petty crime - all kinds of fun and fulfilling activities.

"I ran into Tom from Middlesleep at a party in San Francisco and absolutely fell in love with their sound. Shortly after, Tom invited me over to one of their practice sessions and this was the end result. A truly remarkable group of musicians. Check them out on Facebook.com/Middlesleep"
